Welcome to the KWAS website. Our club offers information of interest to all aquarists as well as event information for our members and others that are interested in this fascinating hobby. We look forward to seeing you at one of our meetings. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month (except July and August) at the Adult Recreation Centre in Waterloo. Meetings start at 7:30pm and the doors are generally open around 7pm. Guests are welcome and are encouraged to sign our guest book and receive a complimentary copy of our monthly publication Fins & Tales

Presidents Notes

Hi everyone and welcome back ! It's been quite the summer and I hope all of you got to enjoy some of the great weather. Yours truly has managed to limp around since our last meeting in June. I've been nursing torn cartilage in both knees but that hasn't stopped me from finalizing my planted tank and getting out with some club members to pick up new fish. Thanks to all who helped get the project going and see me through a small battle with algae. 'We Won'! Was there ever any doubt? September should be a great meeting. Club member Tianna Bertolo (Tye) will be on hand to talk to us about Aquascaping. We'll all get involved at our tables in planning and decorating an actual tank. Don't miss what should be a terrific start to the fall season. Speaking of the fall, Oktoberfish is right around the corner. This years event is scheduled for Sunday October 24th. We could use all the volunteers we can get for our big annual event. This is the single most important fund raiser we have in our club so it's success is vital to the next years operation of our club. I'd like to invite those members who haven't gotten involved to spare a short 30 minutes to one hour of your day to help your club get through this busy day. Every little bit helps.
